2006 - Revisiting methods and standards.

In 2006 we made a couple of changes in direction, resulting in several changes in our company. For design, we switched from html (table) layouts to tableless css based layouts. We have multiple new designers who focus on standards based design, increasing our design quality significantly. This is apparent even in a lower budget site like Legacy Outdoor Sports - one of our best sites ever in terms of value for the client’s investment.

For most of 2006 we were behind in development. Customers lined up faster than we could complete the work. We became deeply behind, and these growing pains gave us the opportunity to expand! We now have three PHP developers who each carry different skill sets and experiences, and it’s working out great! This has improved our company because now we can pair programmers to their best suited tasks/projects, allowing us focus on our strengths and work more efficiently.

The results show in sites like our wireless device fulfillment portals for some of Integrity Communication’s clients such as HRBlock, Black & Veatch, Huhtamaki, and JE Dunn. We’ve also developed an entirely custom Point of Sale solution for one of our clients… enabling them to have significantly more control over their business than would have ever been possible!

We’re especially proud of our new web standards compliant designs allowed us again to increase our design quality!

Switching gears for a moment, we were thrilled to create the Olathe Fire Department’s “Hunt for HOme Hazards” presentation that can be viewed at OlatheKids.org. It was a huge project and a great change of pace. It was one of our largest projects of the year, and probably the most unique project we’ve ever done.

In summary of 2006, it was the year we built a portfolio that we’re really proud of. In fact, we’re working on setting up a portfolio site at www.netprofitdesign.com.

Net Profit Services: 2007 Preview

For 2007, there are a lot of great projects lined up. Here’s a sneak peak:

We’re developing a client’s website that enables you to store your medical records online (CrisisID.com).

We’re also very excited to have a site in progress for custom powerboat manufacturer (LiquidGlassPowerBoats.com).

Also stay tuned for a unique motorcycle apparel review site for MotorcycleCloseouts.com.

We’re also nearing completion of backend programming for Ideaso.com as well as the all new SignatureMortgage.net.

We’ve got several other projects already in the works for 2007, including launching some of our own internal projects. 2007 is sure to be an exciting year!
