Kevin Barber’s Cycling Log: May 2006
May 31st, 2006I’ve decided to post my cycling log online to make myself more accountable for staying on track with workouts. Not only am I posting my cycling miles and times/speed, I’m also posting my weight each month… YIKES!
Since this is my first cycling log and I’ve been riding for a few months, here is a little history:
Purchased the Lemond bicycle on 3-6-2006.
March 2006: My Weight: 190lbs
Miles for March 2006: 48 mountain bike + 80 road bike = 128 total miles
Best River Run (28.35 miles):
1 hr 5 min out @ 13 mph
1 hr 21 min back @ 10 mph
2 hr 26 min overall @ 11.6 mph
April: My Weight: 187lbs
Miles for April 2006: 14 mountain bike + 120 road bike = 134 total miles
Total of 200 miles on road bike, 262 miles for the year.
April 8: Best River Run (28.35 miles):
1 hr 7min @ 12.6 out
1 hr 7min @ 12.5 back
2 hr 14 min @ 12.5 mph overall
this marks a 12 minute improvement and 0.9 mph increase over last month!
April 21: Best River Run (28.35 miles):
59 min @ 14.3 out
2 hr 5 min @ 13.4 overall
this marks a 9 minute improvement and 0.9 mph increase just this month!
Since March ‘06 I’ve shaved 21 minutes and improved 1.8 mph!
May: My Weight: 186lbs
Miles for May 2006: 28 mountain bike + 193 road bike = 221 total miles
Total of 393 miles on road bike, 483 miles for the year.
Best Park Sprint (16.2 miles):
28:21 sprint @ 16.9 mph
38 back @ 12.8 mph
1 hr 6 minutes overall @ 14.7 mph
Best River Run (28.35 miles):
54 min @ 15.7 out
1 hr 57 min @ 14.5 overall
this marks a 6 minute improvement and 0.9 mph increase over last month!
Since March ‘06 I’ve shaved 29 minutes and improved 2.9 mph!
