Kevin Barber’s Cycling Log: June 15 update
June 15th, 2006I’m excited to post that the first half of June has been great for both work and cycling… but little time for much else.
In work I’m happy to be working with Signature Mortgage Group on a new site (details to follow), making some major progress in the OlatheKids.org Project, and I’ve enjoyed meeting with several other clients for the planning stages of their sites. A busy time and I’m loving it!
Back to cycling. As you know I’m preparing myself for the MS150 and focusing on improving my fitness this summer, and I have made June an important month for increasing my training. I’ve increased my longest ride to be 56 miles, and here are some other stats:
June 1-15: My Weight: 184lbs (loss of 2)
Miles for June 1-15: 257, an improvement over May’s 221 total with 2 weeks to go!
Best Park Sprint (16.2 miles):
25:32 sprint @ 18.8 mph (improvement of 3 minutes and 2 mph!)
59:34 overall @ 16.2 mph (improvement of over 6 minutes and 1.5 mph from May)
(thanks Steve for the motivation to improve!)
